My birthday

For my birthday weekend...Abby dressed up as Pippy Longstocking with her little pet monkey. We carved pumpkins, had a party, and a chili cookoff - and no I didn't win the chili cookoff, but I did make my fantabulous scrumptous cheesecake! YUM! We had five pots of chili left - Chili anyone?! Darren won the fake prize dad made up. What fun! I had a great birthday - feeling a little old now! =0

Weekend

Whew! What a busy weekend! Friday morning I get off work at 0715 and go home to catch a few zzzz's before getting ready for the rehearsal dinner for a friends wedding...but I can't sleep too long cause I have to go to sleep later that night and get up early and get ready for wedding party pics. Wedding went great - nobody fell on their face or anything! Saturday night JB and me went bowling with Mary, Brad, Becca, Zack, Arwyn, and Heather. I stink at bowling and JB bowled a 186! It was fun though! Sunday morning we went to my grandparent's church for homecoming and Sunday night at our church. Today I've been working on the bathroom remodel from hell! I decided I would rather be at work then working on the bathroom...then I could pay someone else to do it!

Can't sleep...

So, I kinda out of the blue decided to try and do this blog thing. I guess because I found the link to Todd and Lisa's and actually felt semi-connected by seeing some of the pics and reading Lisa's postings...even though I haven't seen them in almost a year! I can't believe how big and beautiful both the girls are! Time flies by when life is always busy and ever hectic. I wish there was some way to slow down (besides winning the lottery and quitting my job)!

I've been working nights at the hospital for one year this week. Sometimes it seems like I've been there a long time yet still know so little. Jonathan has gone from his crazy hours at UPS to a crazy schedule at P&G. I hardly ever know what days or nights he is working and half the time they are completely opposite mine. We either pass each other in the doorway or say hello and goodnight on the phone. I can't seem to get off my night schedule the rest of the week -- hence why I'm typing on a blog at 2:30am! Maybe one day we can both work regular jobs and sit down together with some kids of our own someday!

Mary's Wedding

Even though Mary got married in May I thought I'd go ahead and post some pics. Weddings are always stressful when the planning is in phase and then the cleaning up afterwords...My gosh what alot of work! It was a blast!

Weekend Vacation in August

Jonathan and I decided to take John, Joshua and Abby to Six Flags, a Braves game, and Stone mountain for the weekend in August. The kids had never been to Six Flags and all they wanted to do was ride the same rollercoaster over and over again... while I sat at the picnic table for five hours doped up on dramamine. What fun! Overall we had a great time!
